It all seemed a little surreal. Here was Esme Allchurch, a lady in her 90’s, widow of Ivor the Golden Boy of the 1958 Wales World Cup team, being cuddled by 6 foot something Cordell Broadus. Cordell, AKA Lil Snoop, Snoop Dogg’s son. What’s more Cordell seemed more bowled over by the meeting than she did!!!
Most Saturday mornings I take my granddaughter out for breakfast. At 6 years of age she has a unique take on life. She’d had a pretty good morning fleecing her grandfather and we were on the way home when she turned to me and said, ‘Baba, it looks as if you are going to have a baby.’
Today is the day. I know Swansea started their Championship season last weekend away at Middlesbrough. and I know we’ve had a 2 games at the Swansea.com stadium, a friendly against French Lige 1 side Lorient and a cup match last Tuesday against EFL League 2 side Crawley, but today is the day the season becomes real.
These days it’s hard to believe what you see. Is Snoop Dogg really eating a Joe’s Ice Cream…has Mal Pope really become…a cartoon!!!
I feel I am coming to an end of a journey that in truth I would never have wanted to take. On Tuesday morning I joined with a whole host of supporters including members of the Swansea Bay Health Board, business sponsors and grateful families to mark the opening of Cwtsh Clos.
