As the Swansea Grand Theatre celebrates its 125th birthday there is still life in the old lady. There is Grand Ambition again at the Swansea Grand Theatre and I’m delighted to be a part of this Revival.

But for all that my greatest memory this week has been that house in Pontcanna in 1982 watching the World Cup. If I’m honest, at the time, I was completely broken but Chris took me under his wing, made me feel at home and made me feel I had a future and for that I will be eternally grateful.
As I drove past the Swansea Leisure Centre on a bright July morning I found myself looking at the people in their cars as they passed me. I wasn’t driving very fast, they obviously had places to go. Maybe they were late for work or rushing to get their kids to school. I’m pretty sure none of them noticed the old guy tootling along in the inside lane with a few small tears, slowly rolling down his cheeks.
The Swansea Festival Returns on 29th Oct with a Platinum Jubilee Concert featuring a newly commissioned work by Sir Karl Jenkins, Catrin Finch, Steffan Lloyd Owen, The Swansea Philharmonic, The British Sinfonietta and hosted by Huw Edwards.
