Mal Pope Performs 'Catch You' Songs of Praise 25th July

Singer-songwriter Mal Pope was inspired to write a song about becoming a grandparent. “Catch You” is about caring for his grandchild, just as God might care for us. You can see the whole song on the day declared by the Pope to be “World Day for Grandparents”, Sunday 25 July 1.15 BBC Two and bbc.in/2VQXN0v afterwards for 30 days in the UK.

Mal Pope - A Child's Prayer 7th May 2021

On Sunday 9th May Mal will be featured singing and chatting to Brenda Edward on BBC’s Songs of Praise.

Mal will perform a newly recorded version of an old song of his ‘A Child’s Prayer’. Mal originally wrote the song when he was 16 and the first recording was produced by Elton John at Abbey Road. The new version has an extra verse where Mal looks back at the Child inside the Man.

The recording will be released as a download and all streaming services from 7th May.
