SynopsisConnie, Hillary and Demi meet every morning at the same coffee shop. From the outside they seem like unlikely friends.
Connie is smart, beautiful, immaculately dressed and has a tongue so sharp that it could split the atom at a hundred paces. She is married to Richard, a successful businessman but the only thing they seem to share these days is a credit card.
Hilary is a young mum working hard to do everything perfectly. She wears well worn sneakers because she’s always on the run. She is married to Harry who works long hours to make up the money they gave up when Hillary left work to look after the children. Demi makes your average wall flower appear to be a motivated ‘go getter’. She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders but doesn’t complain; she wouldn’t because she believes it’s probably all her fault! She is married to Tom who can’t believe how lucky she was that he chose her.
And then there is Eddie…Eddie is a barista who has travelled the world in pursuit of his two great loves, coffee and women. He has come to Oyster Bay to acclimatise himself in preparations for the ‘Barista Championships of the World’. When he walks into their coffee shop their lives will never be the same again. Secrets are exposed, dreams are revealed, lives and relationships are left hanging by a thread.
Even the girls can’t quite remember how they came together but what they do know is that their morning coffee and mutual support helps keep them sane in a world gone mad. But is their love and friendship strong enough to keep them together, strong enough to save the Cappuccino Girls.
